2 of 3 Doctorines

I.                   The Doctrine of God is full of riches to grow by.
A.                 Our Lord Jesus Christ
1.                   Christ is seen in the first mention of His name "Messiah" by a woman in 2:10.
2.                  The perfect priesthood of Jesus is alluded to in 2:35 [Hebrews 2:17].
3.                  Christ and the Davidic Covenant is also presented in 7:10-16.
B.                 Our Great God
1.                   A great name of God "The Lord of Hosts" is first used in 1:3.
2.                  The Scriptures go on to use this title for God 280 more times. It signifies God as the Mighty Victor and Conqueror. It can be translated Lord of the armies of Heaven and Earth. See James 5:4.
C.                 Our precious Holy Spirit
1.                   He is the One who can prompt holy and righteous anger .
2.                  He is the One who can make our speech prudent and our conduct bold [16:13, 18].
3.                  He is the One who protects us from evil .

II.                The Doctrine of Prayer focuses on the lives of Hannah and Samuel.
A.                 GOD GIVES OUR HEARTS DESIRE THROUGH PRAYER. Hannah prays for a son and is given Samuel [1:10, 12, 26, 27; 2:1].
B.                 GOD GIVES US VICTORY THROUGH PRAYER. Samuel prays for Israel and they are led to victory by God .
C.                 GOD GIVES US COMFORT THROUGH PRAYER. Samuel comes in sorrow to God for Israel that has rejected Him as their King .
D.                GOD GIVES INSIGHT THROUGH PRAYER. God reveals secrets to Samuel while he is praying .
E.                 GOD DESIRES US TO COME TO HIM THROUGH PRAYER. Samuel declares that a lack of prayer is sin [12:19, 23].
F.                 GOD REFUSES PRAYERS OF A REBEL. Saul finds his rebellion and rejection of God means God will not listen to him .

Also, in my prayer, it occurred to me to understand more about how beauty cannot be disfigured/blemished because beauty is a quality of God—not of mortals. The beauty God expresses cannot be changed, hidden, or cursed in any way, because God is a constant. So scientifically [from a spiritual viewpoint], we can’t help but constantly express beauty. . . . Our beauty and perfection come from God.

Now is the time for us to shine. The time when our dreams are within reach and possibilities vast. Now is the time for all of us to become the people we have always dreamed of being. This is your world. You’re here. You matter. The world is waiting. -one tree hill

“I’ve always been nervous speaking in front of people. I always felt like I was too much of a mess myself to be offering anything. But 1 Chronicles 28:20 says, ‘Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged by the size of the task. For the Lord my God is with you, He will not fail you or forsake you.’ I finally let those feelings go. If we think that we can’t do anything until we are fixed, we’ll never get anything done. But in our weakness, God makes us strong.”

Church of Jesus Christ

The concept is simple. If we understand as a generation what it means to love the way God commanded us to. To love God, to love people then we’ll change the world. We need to start living this thing out. Not just learning what it is to jump around and have a good time.. Praise and worship. That’s all part of it but it is about being changed from the inside out. To make a difference, and to worship God in spirit and truth. To pursue justice, to help the lost, to help the broken. What we are apart of is way bigger then any individual, it’s way bigger then any band, and its way bigger then any celebrity, or person. What we are apart of is something that is going to change the world its called the church of Jesus Christ. To be saved costs us nothing, To be a Disciple costs us everything.

A Beautiful Cake Awaits

I was once at a retreat and Pastor Thomson talked about how different life experiences, good or bad, can come together to make something beautiful. He asked us, “Would you eat raw eggs by itself? Eat a stick of butter at your kitchen table? Likewise, you can’t look at just one “ingredient” or “moment” in your life, and complain or be depressed; to be truly joyful through all circumstances and persevere through struggles, you have to look at every situation from God’s point of view and have faith that a beautiful cake awaits when all these different “ingredients” blend together in perfect harmony. -Deborah Moon

Baby Don't You Cry (Pie Song) from Waitress Soundtrack
When the world is gray and bleak
Baby don't you cry
I will give you every bit of love that is in my heart
I will bake it up… into a simple little pie

Baby don't you cry gonna make a pie
Gonna make a pie with a heart in the middle
Baby don’t be blue
Gonna make for you
Gonna make a pie with a heart in the middle
Gonna be a pie from the heaven above
Gonna be filled with strawberry love

Baby don’t you cry
Gonna make a pie
Hold you forever in the middle of my heart.
Baby heres the sun
Baby heres the sky
Baby I’m the light and I’m your shelter

Baby you are mine
I could freeze the time
Keep you in my kitchen with me forever
Gonna be a pie from the heaven above
Gonna be filled with strawberry love

Baby don’t you cry
Gonna make a pie
Hold you forever in the middle of my heart.

Gonna bake a pie from the heaven above
Gonna be filled with butterscotch love
Gonna be a pie from the heaven above
Gonna be filled with banana cream love

Baby don’t you cry
Gonna make a pie

Hold you forever x 2
Hold you forever in the middle of my heart

This is the song I promised I would sing to my future baby when they cry :') It's such a cute song!

2 corinthians 12:9-10
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christs power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ sake I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
I will never give you more then I know you can handle. My precious child there are some times of suffering in your life. But the temporary suffering of this life does not compare to the glory that shall be revealed in you. Know this that I am with you and I will help you. Your help comes from me, I am the God who created the heavens and the earth, and the one who created you. I will never leave you, I will never reject you.

I will not fail, for the Lord is with me.
“When you find someone who loves your flaws more than anything else about you, you found someone who truly loves you for who you are. Christ loves me not because of my good deeds. Nor does He love me because of my righteousness. Christ loves me because I am a sinner saved by grace. For where I am weak, His strength is. Christ loves my flaws more than anything else about me because where I fall short, He stands tall.”
At times my heart is so proud and my mind is so unfocused. And Lord, You gently break me, then lovingly You take me and hold me as my father and mold me as my maker. I ask you: “How many times will you pick me up, when I keep on letting you down? And each time I will fall short of Your glory, how far will forgiveness abound?” And you answer: ” My child, I love you and as long as you’re seeking My face, You’ll walk in the power of my daily sufficient grace.” At times I may grow weak and feel a bit discouraged, knowing that someone, somewhere could do a better job. For who am I to serve You? I know I don’t deserve You. And that’s the part that burns in my heart and keeps me hanging on. You are so patient with me, Lord. As I walk with You, I’m learning what Your grace really means. The price that I could never pay was paid at Calvary. So, instead of trying to repay You, I’m learning to simply obey You by giving up my life to you. For all that You’ve given to me.
